KOLKATA: The drama over the income tax raid at the residence of Raiganj MLA Krishna Kalyani took a new turn on Thursday when the Income Tax officials took him to his Sudarshanpur office in the wee hours. The MLA however claimed that the agency officials have done their duty and he is satisfied with their conduct.
Nearly 20 hours after they started searches at his Raiganj residence, Income Tax officials came out with Kalyani and his wife at around 4 am. They got into a car and headed for the Royal Enfield Showroom at Sudarshanpur in Raiganj. Kalyani became a director of the company in 2022.
