SCOTTISH actor James McAvoy has been spotted in Glasgow on the set of his new film.
The Drumchapel-born star will be making his directorial debut with the new film California Schemin’.
It centres on Gavin Bain and Billy Boyd, who are both fed up of London record producers not taking Scottish rap seriously, dismissing them as “rapping Proclaimers”.
Filming will take place between November 6 and 20 at locations such as Maryhill and The Barras Market.
McAvoy was pictured near Glasgow Green this afternoon, near where a new mural has also been unveiled.
It depicts Ewan McGregor’s character from the film Trainspotting – Renton – and his famous line “it’s s**** being Scottish”.
McAvoy was also spotted filming at the Barras on Monday.
