In November, New York sportsbooks generated $231.7 million in revenue

After taking a hit in October, New York sportsbooks bounced back with a profitable November. The New York Gaming Commission reported that the state’s nine mobile sportsbooks combined for $231.7 million in revenue. That was a new national monthly high and their second-highest handle of all time at $2.3 billion. Revenue in November was a 53.3% year-over-year increase. This beat their previous record from last January by 9.5%.

Sportsbooks in New York combined for just a 7% hold during Thanksgiving week but saw a record $529.9 million worth of wagers. Revenue from the NFL in October was down 14% month-over-month. That was not the case in November. November was the fourth month in 2024 that NY sportsbooks finished with $200 million in monthly revenue. Operators in November 2024 combined for a 10.2% hold. The amount wagered in New York was $2 billion for the third month in a row.

What New York sportsbooks were the most profitable in November?

Last month, FanDuel accounted for more than 43% of New York’s November revenue. The industry leaders generated $102.6 million in revenue from a $921.2 million handle and 11.4% hold. FanDuel is the only New York operator to have at least $900 million wagered in a single month. They’ve done this in three consecutive months. FanDuel fell just short of beating its record $925 million handle from November 2023.

DraftKings finished with the second-largest handle in New York during November at $745.4 million. Themselves and FanDuel are the only NY operators to accept at least $7 billion in wagers year-to-date. The operator finished with a double-digit haul in November to collect $77.1 million in revenue. DraftKings’ second-best monthly total in 2024.

Fanatics Sportsbook had the third-largest handle in New York during November at $170.2 million. BetMGM finished with a $167.7 million handle and Caesars was fifth with $158.1 million. With $14.4 million in revenue during November, BetMGM set a new monthly record in New York. BetRivers finished with a $47.6 million handle last month. ESPN BET had a $39 million handle and Bally Bet generated $1.2 million in revenue from an 11% hold and a $10.6 million handle.
