In 2017, Big Sean paid $8.7 million for Slash’s Beverly Hills mansion and renovated it; four years later, he sold it for $11.1 million, a $2.4 million price increase

The property reflected Slash’s rock-and-roll style before Big Sean purchased it and transformed its interiors. But when rapper Big Sean stepped into Slash’s Beverly Hills estate, he wasn’t interested in preserving a rock-and-roll time capsule. He saw a luxury home waiting for a complete transformation, one that would replace its heavy, theatrical style with a more modern vision of comfort, creativity, and California living.

In 2017, Big Sean bought Slash’s Beverly Hills Post Office mansion for $8.7 million and then spent the following four years renovating it. According to an article in The Los Angeles Times, the artist sold the renovated house in 2021 for $11.1 million, creating a gross price difference of $2.4 million compared with the purchase price. The nearly 11,000-square-foot estate included seven bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, entertainment spaces, a recording studio, and a theater. During his ownership, Big Sean updated the interiors with a more minimalist design approach. However, such a transaction was more about buying a celebrity home and selling it later. It showed how luxury real estate can change when a new owner treats a property as a creative project rather than just an investment.
