In 2015, singer and actress Olivia Newton-John purchased a 12-acre riverfront ranch in California’s Santa Ynez Valley for $4.69 million alongside her husband, John Easterling. The pastoral estate featured a four-bedroom main residence, guest house, equestrian barn, and solar-heated saltwater pool. Four years later, in May 2019, Newton-John placed the sanctuary on the market for $5.4 million, aiming to consolidate her assets and expand her work in cancer research.
Although the initial listing was withdrawn, the property remained a cherished personal retreat where Newton-John spent her final years before passing away in August 2022. Easterling later relisted the estate, closing a $7.95 million sale in early 2025. Proceeds from the transaction directly benefited plant-based medicine studies through the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, converting her beloved personal refuge into a vital source of funding for ongoing cancer research.
