‘Improper response to the incident’: Pinal County troopers sent canine to maul stroke victim, disturbing bodycam footage reveals

Body camera footage from February 2025 has finally revealed a harrowing encounter where Pinal County deputies and Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers deployed a K-9 on a man who was actively suffering from a stroke, Phoenix New Times reported. The incident, which unfolded on the side of Interstate 10 near Casa Grande, shows 62-year-old Bradley Page trapped in his 2024 Nissan Sentra while surrounded by law enforcement.

Page had pulled over after experiencing a stroke, yet the officers on the scene treated the medical emergency as a criminal standoff. Moments before the K-9 was deployed, troopers had already used rubber rounds to shatter the windows of his vehicle. As Page sat in the driver’s seat, struggling with the physical effects of his stroke, he was unable to fully comprehend or follow the shouted commands of the officers.
