Impatient driver leaps out of car and punches female crossing guard ‘for taking too long to get children across street’

Surveillance footage shows the moment a suspect punched a female crossing guard in the face in Philadelphia for taking too long to walk children across the street.

Darby Borough Police said that an individual, dressed in all black, got out of his car and knocked the woman unconscious on Monday (16 March), all while children were present.

The force condemned the act as “heinous” and has appealed to anyone with information to come forward.

Chief Joe Gabe of the Darby Borough Police Department said the woman is “feeling OK, but she’s very shaken up by what happened”, adding that she is worried about going back to her role.
