Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez is backing his Colombian international teammate Luis Sinisterra to be a success at Leeds United. Sinisterra is closing in on a move from Feyenoord as the Whites look to tie up a deal before the squad jet off for their pre-season tour of Australia on Sunday.
The 23-year-old is set to become Feyenoord’s club record sale with reports indicating Leeds have agreed a deal worth in the region of €25 million. Sinisterra netted 23 goals and provided 14 assists in all competitions for the Dutch side last season, establishing himself as one of the best wingers in the Eredivisie.
While the Premier League will undoubtedly prove to be a step-up for Sinisterra, his underlying stats suggest this is a signing Leeds supporters can get excited about. Speaking to AS, Spurs centre back Sanchez believes Sinisterra can have a similar impact to what fellow Colombian Luis Diaz had at Liverpool after his January arrival due to his strength in ‘duels’.
