Patients at a Nottingham GP practice are set to have their registrations automatically transferred as part of an imminent takeover. Services at Riverlyn Medical Centre in Bulwell will be taken on by nearby Leen View Surgery following the retirement of two partners.
Patients will be automatically transferred across to the practice by the start of December, when it will be known as Leen View Surgery, Riverlyn Site. However, patients can register with another nearby GP if they wish.
Riverlyn's location in Station Road and phone number will remain the same. The partners at Leen View Surgery joined the Riverlyn Medical Centre contract in April and have continued to provide services following the retirement of both Dr Arun Tangri and Dr Charu Tangri.

They have now decided to merge the NHS contracts. In an update for patients, NHS Nottingham said it was likely they would be seen by new members of staff.
"You will still see some of the same practice staff that you currently do, but it is also likely that you will be seen by new members of staff," it stated. "Your medical records will be automatically transferred over to Leen View Surgery to support your on-going healthcare."
Elsewhere in Bulwell, around 3,000 patients were moved from Springfield Medical Centre to the close by St Albans & Nirmala in April this year after the practice shut. Both Riverlyn Medical Centre and Leen View Surgery have patient approval ratings of around 60 percent.
