Dublin singer Imelda May has opened up about a frightening incident in a lift at a luxury London hotel.
The incident took place in the famous Claridges Hotel in London, popular with A-list stars.
The Dublin singer took to social media to recall the scary event: “Once I was in a lift when it dropped to the floor in Claridge’s.

“I was opening for Dionne Warwick. I’d come from her room; she kindly let me change in.”
Fortunately the Liberties singer was rescued by authorities and was able to play her set that evening.
“I did the gig!”
“They’d to wedge open the lift door to pull me up and out. Covered in dust & with shaky legs.”
The popular singer is currently touring France following the release of her new album, 11 past the Hour.
