I’m a hotel expert and I think Asia has the best hotels in the world – here’s why

A few weeks ago, the hotel industry's heavyweights flocked to Paris for the fourth annual The 50 Best Hotels awards. When the list was unveiled, one thing was immediately clear: Asia dominated.

Seven of the top 10 hotels spanned the continent, with 18 on the wider list (or 16, discounting the two in Dubai) in Asia.
