'Illusionist' investor accused of defrauding millions

Would-be investors allegedly handed more than $253 million to a fraud-accused "illusionist" businessman promising a "pot of gold at the end of a rainbow", a court has been told.

Chris Marco, who is on trial for fraud, allegedly told his victims he was an experienced private investor with exclusive financial opportunities, similar to fixed-term deposits, offering healthy returns.
