Illinois Hindu temple planned attack: MEA calls on US to ensure safety, security of Indian nationals

New Delhi: Describing the alleged plot to carry out a mass shooting targeting a Hindu temple in Illinois as a matter of "deep concern" for New Delhi, India on Friday called on the US to ensure the safety, security and well-being of Indian nationals in that country.

Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said this in response to a query during his bi-weekly media briefing.
