Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier has urged the club to give Javi Gracia more "time" as manager after admitting that the squad are enjoying playing under him.
Gracia replaced Jesse Marsch on a 'flexible contract' following the American's sacking last month. The former Watford boss has claimed seven points from a possible 12 so far in the Premier League with wins over Southampton, Wolves and a 2-2 draw with Brighton.
Four points separate Southampton in 20th and Crystal Palace in 12th meaning that although the Whites sit 14th in the table, they are just two points clear of the relegation zone. There is still plenty of speculation surrounding Gracia's future at Elland Road with suggestions that his future tenure may well depend on whether or not he can help Leeds secure their top-flight status for next season.

But Meslier has now pleaded with the club to keep Gracia on as their manager for next season as he revealed how the squad are "very happy" with the Spanish coach.
"Javi is a good manager," the Leeds shot-stopper said as per Beanyman Sports' YouTube channel. "We like his idea because we play on the floor, play out from the back. Occupy space, score goals.
"We just need time with him. We are happy, we have hope, we hope we can continue with him."
