A mecca for the furniture needs of many living in Dublin, IKEA is a superstore that is often a vital part of any home move to or around Dublin.

If you haven't been to the Dublin IKEA in a while, there are a few handy things to know before going. How do you get there and what can you expect upon arrival?

Where is IKEA in Dublin?

IKEA is located in Ballymun on St Margaret's Road.

There is also the IKEA Dublin Collection and Order Point in Carrickmines. From here, you can order online and collect previous orders made online, as opposed to the Ballymun store where you can purchase items there and then.

How do I get to IKEA in Dublin?

IKEA is located on St Margaret's Road. Leave the M50 at Exit 4 onto R108 before turning onto St Margaret's Road.

Is parking free?

The IKEA Dublin store has 1,850 free parking spaces which includes Disabled and Parent & Baby parking bays.

How does it work inside?

Inside IKEA, you will follow a one way system. To get from one section to the other, simply follow the one route in store.

The Ballymun store is home to many room settings. On every item in the showrooms, you'll find details about the products on display and where to find them in the store.

Accessibility

IKEA has family friendly bathrooms and nursing rooms.

Staff will also be on hand for assisted car loading and unloading.

For wheelchair users, IKEA has wide aisles, dedicated parking spaces and a number of manual wheelchairs.

Can I order online?

IKEA orders can be made online and picked up at the Ballymun store and at the Carrickmines Order & Collection Point.

Delivery to an external DPD pick up point costs €2.95.

Home delivery for small parcels starts at €10, medium at €15 and large at €20.

Items will be delivered within one and three days.

How do I assemble IKEA furniture?

IKEA's products are specifically designed for simple assembly at home.

Customers can also avail of IKEA's Assembly Service partners to build their furniture. This service includes a free one year guarantee on workmanship.

The independent assembly partners will charge customers a standard basic charge of €35 plus 20% of the full retail purchase price.
