NEW DELHI: Igor Stimac will finally be in attendance to watch a few Indian club matches. Famous, for a while now, for not attending matches in India in person, the senior National coach is expected to reach Kolkata on Mar 6 ostensibly to catch a few games before the Indian team departs for the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on Mar 15.

How such a belated involvement in scouting players for the Indian team will benefit his overall plans remains to be seen.
