Iggy Azalea has revealed she’s suffered a suspect slipped disc in her back after injuring herself during her American tour.
The Australian rapper had recently been complaining of neck pain, which led her to seek treatment for the ongoing issue earlier this week.
Following her performance in Michigan on Wednesday, the 32-year-old gave the health update on Twitter after a fan asked how she was doing following her latest show.
She penned: “I’m great! On my way to get an MRI for my back & neck so I’m happy about that!”
Tweeting an update hours later, the Fancy hitmaker added: “Should be fine they think I have a slipped disc in my back.
“I’ve performed 36 shows with it but I’d love to recover so I can wear high heels again on stage.”
After tweeting her update, fans were quick to send their well-wishes, with one fan commenting: “Oh wow! Please get healed so you can come back 100%. I hope you feel better.
“You’re a true performer to do 36 shows with a slipped disk! We love you.”
“Oh heck! Wishing you a speedy recovery,” another wrote. “You’re a hardworking performer who will do her best anytime!”
A third remarked: “My goodness Iggy this is serious... you could get seriously injured out there... all money is not good money.”
The Problem rapper is currently touring with Sean Paul and Pitbull and is due to perform again on Thursday (September 29) in Bakersfield, California, with the tour set to continue until mid-October. Evening Standard has contacted Iggy Azalea’s rep for comment.
Last July, Azalea announced she was quitting music "for a few years" to "focus on other creative projects".
But her hiatus from the industry ended last month when she confirmed her surprise comeback on Twitter, declaring: “I’m coming back. Cry about it.”
The music star explained in a lengthy post: “A year ago, I was willing to walk away from music because I was tired of the negative energy it attracted.
“But what I’ve learned is that, even when I’m minding my business, y’all gonna be negative AND nosey.
“So, if I can’t have peace, neither can you. I’m coming back. Cry about it.”
Azalea then shared in a follow-up tweet: “I’m not gonna talk about dates, direction, or anything, just know it’s happening and there will be a budget.”
