Fans still think Knuckles in ‘Sonic The Hedgehog 2’ is ‘sexy’

In October, Idris Elba promised that his character Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 won’t be “sexy.”

Despite this, Elba seemingly lied - as the recent trailer for the film still has some Sonic fans thirsty for ‘sexy Knuckles’ - and they took to Twitter to speak about it.

“Cannot believe Idris Elba would straight up lie to us and say Knuckles isn’t sexy in this movie,” someone wrote.

“‘Knuckles voice will not be sexy, he said, sexily,’” another added.

A third wrote: “Anyone remember when Idris Elba said Knuckles would not be sexy? Why would he lie like that.”

Sonic trying to integrate into his new life on Earth and his first contact with Knuckles, played by Idris Elba, were included in the video, which was released during Thursday’s Game Awards presentation.

Ben Schwartz will return as the titular Sonic, while Jim Carrey will yet again play Sonic’s mortal antagonist Dr. Robotnik.

Tails made a brief appearance during the post-credits scene of the first film, implying that he might have a role in the inevitable sequel.

Colleen O’Shaughnessey, Sonic’s long-time voice actor, stated on December 7 that she will be voicing Sonic’s sidekick, presumably due to a scheduling difficulty with Chris Pratt.

Days before the teaser debuted at the Game Awards, Paramount Pictures unveiled a poster for the film, which featured Sonic and Dr. Robotnik, as well as Tails flying his trademark biplane.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2  jets into movie theaters on April 8, 2022.
