The Israeli military has launched “limited raids” into Gaza to kill Hamas gunmen and search for hostages taken from southern Israel. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said it had attacked over 320 targets in Gaza in the last 24 hours, including terrorist infrastructure and military equipment.
Gaza’s trapped and densely-packed 2.3 million inhabitants have suffered constant retaliatory air strikes since the unprecedented Hamas attack, with more than 1,000 Palestinians killed and 5,000 injured.
