Ideal Home Show to bring Nadia Sawalha and the Style Sisters to Glasgow this month

The Ideal Home Show is heading back to Glasgow this month, bringing stars like Loose Woman Nadia Sawalha and home improvement experts the Style Sisters to the SEC.

Taking place over four days at the end of May, the UK's biggest and oldest home and garden exhibition is back with four show areas packed with hundreds of brands.

The exciting event sees celebrity guests, free live talks and Show Homes, over 40,000 people attend last year, with this year's set to be even bigger.

This year, guests will be able to catch celebrities including Nadia; Stuart & Scarlette Douglas, known for presenting Channel 4 show Flipping Fast alongside George Clarke; Charlotte Reddington and Gemma Lilly aka the Style Sisters; Lee Connelly aka the Skinny Jean Gardener and home and interior designer John Amabile.

The celebrities will be taking to the main stage to share inside knowledge tying in with this year’s show themes of organisation and maximising even the smallest of spaces.

Experts will also be on hand to offer property advice, as well as discussing the latest technology in home renovation.

Those visiting the show can not only indulge in some retail therapy from over 60 brands like Mitchell Acoustics, Indulge Boutique, and Amy Britton Harris Tweed; but can gather ideas on how to transform their homes and gardens from the inside out with big name brands like Westholme Interiors and Colourfence Limited.

The latest interior design trends and themes will also be explored as well as inspiring living spaces on display in the Good Homes room sets, where the organisers say the latest must-have accessories and furniture are seamlessly styled.

Green-thumbed visitors won’t be left out this year, as Erskine Veteran Charity will have their own ‘Plant Doctor’ on hand to answer any questions, or visitors can add to their plant collection from the Erskine plant market.

There will also be an opportunity for attendees to take part in workshops supporting the charity, from pottery to watercolour painting, and even woodwork.

Event director Giles Perry said: "We’re glad to be back in Scotland and can’t wait to welcome our sponsors, the hundreds of exhibitors, and the thousands of visitors that we believe is going to make Ideal Home Show Scotland the best yet.”

Guests can enjoy free samples, cooking demos, tasty tipples from the Champagne Bar, or grab a bite from one of the over 30 vendors at The Eat & Drink Festival.

Ideal Home Show Scotland takes place from Friday, May 26 until Monday, May 29, from 10 am to 5 pm at the SEC. For more information and to book tickets visit the website.
