FAQs
Does iD Mobile offer free shipping?
Generally, all iD Mobile orders include free shipping as standard, but the delivery time will vary depending on what you're ordering and where it's being shipped to. The network offers free next-day delivery via DPD for orders placed Monday to Thursday (as long as you order before 8pm), whilst SIMs are usually shipped via Royal Mail 2nd class and should arrive in 2 -3 working days. If your order does incur a shipping fee, this will be calculated and displayed at the checkout before you order.
Does iD Mobile offer coverage in my area?
iD provides 4G signal to 99% of the UK, with 5G signal in more than 600 locations across the country thanks to its use of the Three mobile infrastructure to provide signal. The network even offers coverage on the London Underground, with 59 stations and 72 tunnels covered.
If you're not 100% sure how good coverage is in your area, you can check before you join the network by entering your postcode into the dedicated coverage checker on the brand's site. Once you've entered your postcode, you'll get a breakdown of 4G and 5G signal.
What kind of speeds does iD Mobile provide?
Based on Three's own customer data, iD Mobile estimates it can provide up to 70Mbps download and 22Mbps upload speeds on 4G, plus 587 Mbps download and 50Mbps upload speeds on 5G. However, bear in mind that these are best-case scenarios that will not apply to older or outdated phones, and in areas of signal obscurity (especially hilly or built-up areas).
What kind of upgrade deals does iD Mobile offer?
If you're not so keen on your current phone and you're looking for an upgrade but your old plan hasn't yet expired, don't fret - iD offers a range of upgrade deals to help their customers bag the latest handsets without having to wait until their contract ends. The network will even email you whenever upgrades are available. However, these don't tend to be more competitive than new customer deals, so it may be more worthwhile to wait it out and start a new plan with a new phone once your current plan expires.
What is iD Loyalty Perks?
Loyalty Perks is the mobile network's loyalty programme, giving customers access to a range of discounts with a varied selection of partner organisations. You can expect to find savings on food, movies, insurance, holidays and more, with new offers added regularly. There's no limit to how many you can redeem, either - just log in to your account and head to the iD Perks portal to see what's currently available and start making the most of your membership.
What is the iD Mobile returns policy?
As standard, you can return any item within 30 days if bought online, while iD Mobile items ordered in a Currys store have a 14-day returns window. If you change your mind, you're entitled to a refund minus any line rental costs, usage, or additional purchases.
Note that you will be expected to arrange and pay for your own returns shipping, and any plan cancellations outside of the returns window will mean you'll bear the cost of your entire contract when you cancel, plus a cancellation fee.
iD Mobile Saving Tips
Watch for deals
Like many mobile networks, iD Mobile tends to offer enticing deals year-round, especially to new customers, with selected plans for as little as £6, freebies included when you sign up, or discounted phones. On average, iD Mobile estimates it saves its customers £130 on SIM-Only plans or £350 a year on contracts, but deals can let you get even more value for money with as much as 75% off selected plans. Keep your eyes peeled for the latest deals the network has to offer, which we add to this page whenever we find them, before you sign up.
Consider refurbished
If you don't need a brand-new device and want an easy way to save on the price of your handset, consider purchasing from iD Mobile's refurbished range. You'll find models from Apple, Samsung, Google and more, and although they won't be the latest iterations, you'll be able to save anywhere from 30 - 70% on the usual per-monthly contract price depending on its condition.
All refurbished devices have been inspected, tested and refreshed to be in the best shape possible before they're listed, and iD lists the condition of each device on the product page (e.g. good, fair, excellent) so you know exactly what to expect. To top it off, all handsets are covered by a 12-month warranty protecting you against any defects or faults. Note that refurbished devices are usually only offered on 24-month contracts.
Get a student discount
Still studying and looking to save on your next phone? Verify your status with a valid UNiDAYS account and you'll be able to save £20 on the upfront cost of selected devices. Just create or sign into your account to access the student deals portal and see the latest deals they have on offer.
Refer a friend
Know someone who'd like iD Mobile? Refer them to the brand and you could earn up to £70 between you and your friend as thanks (depending on what they purchase). To get started, sign in to your account and head to the referral page to get your unique referral link.
Send this to your friends and family, and when they make a purchase using said link, you'll both earn. Rewards start from £10 (£5 each for you and a friend) for SIM-Only contracts worth £8 a month and climb up to £70 (£35 each when they purchase an iPhone 16 Plus 128GB on a contract for £29 upfront and £40.99 a month).
Trade in your old phone
iD Mobile accepts trade-ins of old handsets in exchange for cash, with quotes available through the dedicated trade-in page on its website. Your phone doesn't even need to be unlocked - they'll accept phones that are currently with any network - and iD arrange trade-ins with Currys, who provide free shipping for your old device. Just select your model and its current condition to get a quote. We've seen as much as £770 on offer, with better quotes offered for newer models in better condition.

How we source voucher codes
At TechRadar, we have a number of tools at our disposal to help us find the latest voucher codes. Our Vouchers team uses connections with big name brands, our affiliate networks, and the world wide web to source the latest & best codes for our pages. Each page is updated multiple times a week with sales info, exclusive codes negotiated by our Commercial team, and a number of ways to save on your next online order.
How we test voucher codes
Every code listed on TechRadar is tested before it’s added to our pages by our Vouchers team. We include a range of offers including student discounts, sale prices, free shipping, & more across a number of categories of products & services. Each code is checked to ensure it is accepted at the checkout, and you won’t find any one-time use or user-specific codes.
The expiry date and any terms & conditions of each code are also displayed on the page, next to or below the ‘Get Code’ button, for added clarity. Click the text that reads ‘Terms & Conditions’ to expand the corresponding area, where you can read more about any requirements your order will need to meet in order for your chosen coupon to be accepted.
What to do if a voucher code doesn’t work
We take the utmost care to verify every code before it’s uploaded, and include as much relevant information as we can find to make using our codes as straightforward as possible. However, sometimes codes expire or are amended before we’re able to refresh our pages, and codes may not work as intended.
Should you experience any issues, it’s always best to start by checking the terms & conditions on the page. Click “View terms and conditions” and the code area will expand. You’ll see all applicable criteria listed in this area. For example, you may not meet a required minimum spend (i.e. spend £20 or more); you may not have enough times in your basket (e.g. you have only selected 2 products when trying to redeem a 3 for 2 multibuy offer), or your chosen offer may only apply to a certain type of product (i.e. 10% off laptops).
If issues persist once you’ve checked that you’ve met any necessary requirements, you can get in touch with our support team by emailing coupons.techradar@futurenet.com. Please provide as much detail about your issue as possible - including which code you used and where you found it - and we’ll be in touch to provide support as soon as we can.
How we make money
All the money TechRadar makes through its voucher pages is earned through a commission-based model. We have deals in place with every retailer that has a voucher page on our site, and every time someone makes a purchase using one of our codes, we earn a percentage of the total basket value back in commission.
Thanks to this model, we can offer all of our codes & discounts completely free of charge. You’ll never be asked to pay a fee to redeem an offer on our site - all you’ll pay is the discounted price of the products or services you’ve chosen to buy.
If you want to find out more about TechRadar’s voucher pages, you can visit our dedicated page on How We Source Voucher Codes and How to Use Them for more information.
