ONE of Scotland's most iconic monuments is set to be illuminated in rainbow lights on Wednesday night to celebrate Pride month's 50th anniversary.
The Wallace Monument in Stirling will be lit up in the colours of the flag as Pride month gets underway.
A Pride flag will also fly at the landmark for the entire month of June to help raise awareness of LGBT history and culture.

The UK's first Pride rally took place on July 1 1972 to mark the anniversary of the Stonewall riots, which changed the rights for LQBT people around the world.
Global Pride Day is celebrated on June 27 and sees parades held around the world.
Scotland's first major Pride event took place on June 17 1995. This year, the capital will mark 25 years of the pride movement in Scotland on June 25 with Edinburgh Pride, after a two-year delay due to Covid.
In Glasgow, the march for LGBT equality will take place Saturday July 16, winding its way through the streets of the city centre with an emphasis on floats to give the public the opportunity to support the parade.
