Iconic marina restaurant reopens as Ayrshire owners give first look at additional dining space and al fresco setting

An iconic Ayrshire restaurant has reopened providing extra dining space and jobs boost to the area.

Scotts Largs welcomed back loyal customers on Saturday after an autumn shut down for works.

The Buzzworks venue has been given a new fresh look, adding an extra space for 40 diners with seats added, alongside booths to allow larger groups to enjoy a meal together.

A stylish new outside space has been added boasting a fully serviced bar area, complete with a retractable roof and glazing system.

The dog-friendly al fresco space will be perfect for all year-round drinking and dining for both residents and visitors.

A new state-of-the-art kitchen was also fitted as part after bosses admitted the venue was in need of some TLC after 11 years.

A stunning 1000 litre aquarium is also set to be installed in the coming weeks, providing a modern, but relaxed feel to the venue and in keeping with Buzzworks other Scotts restaurants, located in South Queensferry and Troon respectively.

Colin Blair, Buzzworks Holdings Chairman, said: “After 11 years of successful trading, we believed that it was the right time to reinvest and modernise Scotts Largs as part of our wider growth strategy.

“It’s a fantastic venue and we have retained elements of its original concept, but this investment has allowed us to really enhance the relaxed and enjoyable experience we offer to visitors, through an up-to-date interior, fantastic covered outside space and new kitchen.

“We want to give Largs and the local community a venue to enjoy and be proud of, with all the changes being made with our customers in mind.

“We look forward to welcoming guests to our stylish new Scotts Largs venue for the opening this weekend and in the lead up to Christmas.”

Buzzworks chiefs have launched a recruitment drive following the reopening of Scotts Largs.

A range of positions are available across the front of house and kitchen teams.

Anyone interested or looking to apply at Scotts Largs, or any one of the Buzzworks venues across Scotland, should visit www.buzzworksholdings.com/careers or search for ‘Buzzworks People’ on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
