An iconic Glasgow restaurant has vowed to train and employ any refugee who seeks a job.
Shish Mahal on Park Road in the city's west end made the announcement on their Facebook page on Monday, March 14.
Bosses added that if they are unable to employ someone at their popular Indian restaurant, they will guarantee a job within their hospitality network.
The post was written against a Ukrainian flag, in reference to the recent Russian invasion of the Eastern European country.
It read: "Hey Shish Snobs...We promise to train and employ any refugee who seeks a job..
"If we cannot employ, we will guarantee a job within our hospitality network."
The post drew praise from social media users with clapping emojis and various "well done's" in the comments.
One person wrote: "Well done. A fantastic job opportunity for someone."
Shish Mahal has previously been credited with the invention of chicken tikka masala.
It's believed a local ordered a chicken tikka and returned the plate to the waiter, saying it was too dry for him.
After hearing this, flustered Bangladeshi chef Ali Ahmed Aslam is reported to have created the now-legendary fusion of British and Asian tastes and traditions by adding a tin of tomato soup.
