One of Glasgow's most iconic and much-loved pubs has been placed up for sale.
'To Let' signs have gone up outside The Griffin at the corner of Elmbank Street and Bath Street in the city centre. The business ceased trading back in March of 2020 with the COVID-19 restrictions.
The pub, which dates back to 1903, is normally a firm favourite with theatregoers in the city given its location across from the King's Theatre.
Reports had suggested that it would reopen post-lockdown once performances restarted at the King's, but despite the theatre opening its doors to the public once again back in September last year, the lights at The Griffin have remained off.

Pub bosses then told Glasgow Live back in November that they would be staying closed "for the time being", as regulars took to the pub's Facebook page to express their desire to see The Griffin reopen its doors.
A spokesperson commented today: “Yes, The Griffin is now up for let - we’re working with amazing local entrepreneurs and operators who will drive The Griffin and give the venue the love that it deserves as a local institution. We’ve been inundated with locals looking to take over the reins and excited to get the venue back up and running as soon as possible.”
The listing for the pub by chartered surveyors CDLH envisages a lease term of at least 15 years, with a guide rental of £75,000 per annum.
It reads: "This is a very rare opportunity to re-establish an excellent and highly profitable business within one of Glasgow’s oldest pub properties and with separate restaurant, function room and external customer seating to the front.
"The property is able to cater for a wide range of clientele and capitalise on significant developments taking place in the local area. The full lease document will be provided to seriously interested parties."
