Iceland staff are staging a sit-in at the Talbot Street shop as pay concerns mount following the store's abrupt closure.
The grocery chain announced it was closing three Dublin branches - Coolock, Talbot Street and Northside - on Wednesday. Staff alleged they received no prior notice of the shutdowns.
People Before Profit's Bernard Mulvany is currently demonstrating outside the Talbot Street store. He told Dublin Live that six workers are inside the shop alongside their union representatives.
He said: "They're going to stay there for as long as it takes until they get what they're entitled to. One worker is owed almost €1000 in pay- it's unacceptable so we need to pile the pressure on the company."

In a video seen by Dublin Live, Talbot Street staff alleged they had not gotten confirmation from the company about when they would receive pay. Workers also claimed they received no prior notice about the store's closure on Wednesday, which the company disputes.
Staff at the Coolock branch also staged a sit-in last week. Workers later agreed to leave the premises after reaching an agreement with Iceland.
However, Bernard alleged the company is not fulfilling promises made to Coolock staff one week ago. He warned that further strike action might be required across multiple Iceland branches.
He said: "We’re encouraging them to keep the picket going and not to walk away from this. That’s what we’ll be doing here- trying to drum up as much support as possible. Promises were made last week which haven’t materialised."
