Iceland will be closing all of its stores early on Sunday for 'historic' reason

Iceland Aldi BM Lionesses

Iceland and The Food Warehouse will be closing up early this Sunday (July 31) in support of England's Lionesses.

The supermarket chains will be shutting at 4pm this Sunday and stopping all online deliveries at 5pm to ensure that staff have the chance to watch the final of the UEFA Women's Euros. England's ladies will be taking on Germany at a sold-out Wembley Stadium with kick off at 5pm. A record Women's Euros crowd is expected at the final.

The Lionesses beat Sweden 4-0 at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night to win their place in Sunday's final, where England's women will be aiming to win their first major title.
