Iceland staff have ended a sit-in at the Coolock branch after reaching an agreement with their former employer.
The retailer abruptly closed its Talbot Street, Coolock and Northside branches earlier this morning. Employees received sudden confirmation of the closure through an email circulated shortly after 9am.
Coolock staff had previously voiced discontent over backdated pay and working conditions in their branch. Workers went on strike back in May and were supported by figures such as 'Game of Thrones' actor Liam Cunningham.
An employee from the Coolock branch confirmed to Dublin Live workers reached an agreement with Iceland about pay. Staff remained on the premises after being informed of the closure as part of a peaceful demonstration.
