Iceland shoppers rave about £5 Big Night in Deal as an 'absolute bargain'

If you're looking for a night in with good food this weekend, then it may be worth swapping your usual takeaway for an Iceland shop.

The frozen foods retailer is well known amongst shoppers for their incredible deals, but their latest offer has shoppers raving about it as an "absolute bargain".

The 'Big Night in Deal' has everything you need for a cosy night in - including two Goodfellas pizza's, McCoy's potato shapes, chicken dippers or veggie fingers and a pack of Mars or Snickers ice creams. And it will only cost £5 for the whole thing.

According to Iceland's website, the mammoth deal will save shoppers up to £6.50, which is sure to help shoppers balance their weekly takeaway and their budgeting.

However, the deal will only be available for a limited time. The Manchester Evening News reports that the offer will run online until 10.59pm on Monday, May 23 and in store until Tuesday, May 24.

Impressed shoppers who have managed to take advantage of the exclusive night in deal have been raving about it on the Iceland Facebook page. One shopper was so impressed that they said they would be playing "freezer Tetris", reports Hull Live.

Claire Sumner said: "Just bought this, what a bargain!" and Jill Chambers said: "I just got this.. very good offer well done Iceland"

Emma Welch agreed: "Brought this today. Such an amazing offer well done Iceland." Michael Jones said: "Picked up today, that's a lot of scran for a 5ver."

Another shopper said: "Got this yesterday absolute bargain city, super value," said another.

In response to some of the comments, the supermarket wrote: "We're made up everyone's loving this." and after Anne Marie Smith said they worried whether it would all fit in her freezer, it wrote: "Time for a game of freezer Tetris!"

It's the latest in a number of bundles being offered by the retailer, which is attracting more and more customers as shoppers try to cut back amid the cost of living crisis. Its Bonus Card and other promotions are helping families make considerable savings.

Anyone can get a card and once it's scanned at the till, or used online, you get the Bonus Card price on selected products, rather than the usual price. The £5 Big Night In deal is one of a number of offers currently running, with others including any three for £5 on fresh fruit and a four-pack of Magnums half price at £1.75.
