A number of popular supermarkets are recalling a number of products over safety fears. Morrisons, Waitrose, Iceland and Spar have each received safety warnings about certain food products.
When a product is recalled, for any reason, the Food Safety Agency (FSA) shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item, as well as detailed information on why the product is being pulled from shelves, the Echo reports.
A number of products have been recalled in recent weeks, with some having used by dates as far as January 2024. Some products could have a risk of food poisoning, while others may contain bits of glass. With that in mind, it could be worth checking your kitchen cupboards, fridge and freezer to see if you have any of the items. Here are some of the latest product recalls from Morrisons, Waitrose, Iceland and Spar.
Morrisons
Morrisons is recalling certain batches of breaded chicken products because there is a risk that some packs may contain small pieces of glass. The supermarket said: "Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don’t need a receipt.
"No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety."
