Iceland Foods have issued a warning to customers about their Mars dessert bar, advising shoppers not to eat it. The product has been recalled because it may contain peanuts and egg - which is not mentioned on the label.
The supermarket has a number of branches dotted in and around Glasgow.
Due to a packaging error, some packs have been incorrectly packed with Snickers dessert bar. The product may contain peanuts and egg, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts and/or an allergy or intolerance to eggs.

The recall alert, from The Food Standards Agency, states: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to peanuts and/or an allergy or intolerance to egg, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. For further details or if you have any questions, you can contact the customer care team on 0800 328 0800."

The 600g dessert bar retails at £8 and has received a mixed bag of reviews from customers on the Iceland website.
One wrote: "Absolutely love! best dessert I have had! Perfect amount of caramel and mouse."
Another customer disagreed and said: "Not what we expected. Very sickly just disappointed."
