The Ferrero Rocher ice cream is hazelnut flavoured and features a hazelnut and cocoa swirl, dipped in a coating of milk chocolate, and roasted hazelnut pieces.

Iceland described it as a "sublime hazelnut experience" which brings "the unique and refined pleasure of Ferrero Rocher in an ice cream."

Thrilled shoppers soon took to Iceland's Instagram comments section. Susan Ridgeway said: "Think I have to try them."

Carol Pike said: "I need to try them especially if they are as good as the chocolate Ferrero Rocher sweets." One user, Rob, tagged his friend Bex, and said: "I wouldn’t stand a chance in getting one of these with you and Nia around."

Gemma Marie said: "This was made for you." Another user, Sharon, tagged her friend Lucy and said: "I thought I you when I saw this."
