Iceland, Aldi and Tesco issue warnings about Fray Bentos pies, biscuits and Easter eggs

Brits are being urged to check their kitchens for a number of products supermarkets have issued warnings about.

Asda, Iceland, Aldi and Tesco have all sent out alerts about certain foods, urging customers not to eat them.

Anyone who has bought the affected items can return them to the shop for a full refund.

When a product is recalled, for any reason, the Food Safety Agency (FSA) shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item.

The below items have all been recalled.

Iceland - Fray Bentos Just Chicken Pie

Baxters Food Group Ltd is recalling Fray Bentos Just Chicken Pie because it may contain small pieces of plastic. The possible presence of small pieces of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat, the Liverpool Echo reported.

  • Pack size: 425 g
  • Batch code: L079T (with production times from 06:00 up to and including 08:22)
  • Best-before-end date: September 2023

This product may contain small pieces of plastic, which makes it unsafe to eat.

Trewithen Dairy - Unsalted Butter - Tesco

As a precaution, Trewithen Dairy is recalling one batch code of its unsalted butter, as it's been found to contain high levels of E. coli.

Ferrero is further extending their precautionary action of recalling a selection of Kinder products because they might be contaminated with Salmonella. This product recall is an update to include all best-before dates for the selected Kinder products and replaces earlier versions.
