ICC World Cup: New Zealand's Mitchell Santner acknowledges challenge of surpassing Daniel Vettori

NEW DELHI: Left-arm spinner Mitchell Santner achieved a significant milestone by taking his 100th one-day international wicket during Wednesday's ICC World Cup match against Afghanistan. However, he acknowledged that surpassing New Zealand's record holder Daniel Vettori will be a formidable challenge.

Spinner Daniel Vettori retired after the 2015 World Cup final, concluding his career with 297 ODI wickets for New Zealand, along with eight more wickets taken with a World XI team.
