What is it about Liverpool centre-backs and mind-boggling record-breaking defensive statistics?
Earlier in his Reds career, Virgil van Dijk's refusal to be dribbled past became the stuff of folklore as month after month passed without an opposing player being able to find a way beyond the imposing Dutchman.
And now it appears Liverpool team-mate Ibrahima Konate is following suit given his efforts at the World Cup.

When featuring for France in their controversial 1-0 Group D defeat to Tunisia on Wednesday, Konate became the first player at the World Cup to make more than 10 tackles in a game at the tournament. In fact, his total of 11 is the most since Italy midfielder Gennaro Gattuso in the 2006 World Cup final, and no centre-back has made more tackles in World Cup history in a since match since such statistics have been collated.
His dominance was such that in 22 duels against Tunisia, he won 21 of them. And of 214 players to contest at least 15 duels at the finals in Qatar, Konate's win rate of 95.5% is the highest.
Konate has featured in all three of France's World Cup games thus far, starting the opening win over Australia and coming off the bench to help transform a draw into a victory against Denmark.
For a player who started a Champions League final before making his senior international bow, it has been quite a rise to prominence. Konate only made his debut for the France national team in June, and his injury concerns during the first part of the season - restricting him to just three starts for Liverpool - meant there was serious doubt over his inclusion in Didier Deschamps' 26-man squad for the tournament.
Unavailability of others left the door ajar. And when the call came earlier this month, Konate admits he had to turn to FaceTime to speak to his family back in his homeland. "An exceptional moment, unforgettable but I lived it alone," he said.
Konate has grabbed his opportunity with both hands, and was highlighted by Barcelona boss Xavi as one of the most impressive players during the opening round of games in Qatar.
He now faces a battle to retain his place for the round of 16 clash against Poland on Sunday, with Manchester United's Raphael Varane and Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano thought to be favourites to start. Arsenal's William Saliba is another option.
Konate, though, has become accustomed to fighting for his place at Liverpool, with Joel Matip and Joe Gomez both putting forward a case to once again regularly partner Van Dijk this season as the Frenchman worked his way back to fitness.
But that Jurgen Klopp turned to Konate during the closing weeks of last season was significant. Indeed, he has been something of a lucky charm since arriving from RB Leipzig for £36million 18 months ago. The Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid in May remains the only one of 30 games - two thirds of which have been alongside Van Dijk - the 23-year-old has started in which Liverpool have been beaten. His other defeat when appearing as a Reds player came when coming on for the final 21 minutes in the contentious 3-2 loss at Arsenal in October.
Should results go their way, there is a possibility Konate could face off against Van Dijk in the World Cup final on December 18. However, it's the prospect of the pair reuniting on the field that will be of most intrigue to Liverpool supporters in the New Year.
