Ianis Hagi reaffirms Rangers commitment with summer exit reports 'outside noise'

Ianis Hagi has reaffirmed his commitment to Rangers amid growing transfer speculation.

A huge summer looms for the Ibrox club with Michael Beale expected to make major changes to his first-team squad. Hagi recently penned a new contract to remain at Rangers until 2026 as Beale displayed his faith in the Romanian international after his injury nightmare.

The 24-year-old was sidelined for a year with an ACL issue but he returned to action against St Johnstone in January. Hagi is expected to feature regularly in Rangers five remaining league games this season but that’s not stopped links to a potential exit this summer.

Celta Vigo have been namechecked with a £3 million move, while it’s understood that Bundesliga clubs are tracking the Rangers star but Hagi isn’t focusing on the ‘outside noise’.

He said: “I can’t control stuff that comes from outside. The only thing I can control is what I do on a daily basis. I love being at this football club.

“I love the fans so much as they probably know. One thing for sure is that I’ve hopefully got seven games and then I need to have a really strong off-season ahead of the qualifiers.

“So I’m focused on this. I can’t control the noise outside. For me, I’ve signed for Rangers Football Club and then committed my future in November/December when I signed my contract extension.

“I don’t know what else I can say. It’s noise from outside that I can’t control. What I can say to the fans is that I’m committed to getting back to fitness as soon as possible so I can play for this club as much as possible.”

Hagi is in contention to start against Aberdeen this afternoon at Ibrox with Malik Tillman’s season over due to injury.
