Ian Wright has confirmed he will not be part of BBC's Match of the Day panel this weekend after Gary Lineker 'stepped back' from hosting the programme.
The BBC issued a statement on Friday confirming that Lineker, a former Everton and England striker, will not present the show until an agreement has been reached over his social media use.
Lineker has been involved in a row over impartiality guidelines this week after he compared the government's new policy on immigration to 1930s Germany.

Reports have since claimed that Lineker is not 'stepping back' as the BBC outlined. According to Rob Harris of Sky Sports, a source close to the 62-year-old claimed that the BBC has 'taken him off air' as he is unwilling to apologise for the comments.
Wright, who frequently features on the programme alongside Lineker, took to social media to show support for his colleague and made it clear he will not be participating in the broadcast.
"Everybody knows what Match of the Day means to me, but I’ve told the BBC I won’t be doing it tomorrow," said the former Arsenal striker. "Solidarity."
Former BBC host Dan Walker also showed his support for Lineker. "I used to sit in for Gary Lineker on MOTD... not sure I'd fancy it this weekend," he shared on Twitter. "What a mess!"
Lineker has hosted Match of the Day and the BBC's biggest live football events since 1999.
