Ian Wright has once again waxed lyrical about Liverpool starlet Curtis Jones while labeling new team-mate Cody Gakpo an 'elite' operator.
It has been a frustrating season at Anfield and beyond. However, after three straight victories, the Reds are still in the mix for European qualification with six matches remaining.
With one eye on the summer transfer window, Jurgen Klopp and his recruitment team plan to revamp the midfield options available to them moving forward, but Jones has underlined his own claim for a long-term role after extended game-time in recent weeks.

Netherlands forward Gakpo, meanwhile, continues to shine following his January move. He grabbed a sixth goal for the Reds against West Ham as they won 2-1 at the London Stadium on Wednesday night - and that was more than enough to catch Match of the Day pundit Wright's eye.
Speaking on his Ringer Podcast Network show, Wright said: "Curtis Jones. He's coming ladies and gents!
"Like he said when the Hulk got shot down, Thanos is coming. Curtis Jones is coming, but Cody Gakpo...
"I watched him in some tight areas [against West Ham] and there with his one-touch play and everything. With his link-up play, he's an absolute elite player."
