Arsenal icon Ian Wright has teased the signing of West Ham United captain Declan Rice after reports emerged that the two clubs had finally reached full agreement for a transfer.
Mikel Arteta's side had seen two offers for Rice rebuffed by the Hammers last month before lodging an £105million offer last week, one which was agreed in principle. But the structuring of the payments needed to be negotiated, with the east Londoners wanting a decent amount of the initial £100million paid upfront.
But as per the Athletic, an agreement has finally be reached and the deal will be paid in three instalments paid over 24 months. That means the England international has been given permission to undergo a medical and finalise personal terms with the north London outfit.
Now, Gunners legend Wright has taken to social media, filming himself driving by the Emirates Stadium whilst listening to the song titled 'Declan Rice' by Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck. It remains to be seen whether or not Wright was driving to the ground to take part in any filming ahead of Rice's announcement video as an Arsenal player.
The former England international previously hinted that he knew of players keen to join the club if they secured a top-four finish in the Premier League last season, with some supporters theorising that he was talking about the West Ham captain. Speaking back in October 2022, Wright said: "Whatever happens off the back of this season if Arsenal do get in the top four with the players that I know that are probably waiting..."

When prompted to reveal who he was talking about, he then smirked and continued: "No, no, no. I can't say anything. Waiting for Arsenal to get in the Champions League, this season will be a massive learning curve for this team.
"That's the least we can get out of it."
