Arsenal clinched a crucial 4-2 win over Aston Villa at the weekend, giving their Premier League title hopes a major boost in the process.
The north London outfit were 1-0 down within the first five minutes at Villa Park as Ollie Watkins finished well from a tight angle before Bukayo Saka's emphatic volley brought the away side level in the 16th minute. Phillipe Coutinho then restored the lead for Unai Emery's men shortly after the half-hour mark.
But Mikel Arteta was able to fire his team up during the half-time break, with the Gunners coming out swinging after the break. Oleksandr Zinchenko finished well to give his team a chance of finding a winner before Eddie Nketiah and Martin Odegaard spurned guilt-edge opportunities to clinch all three points.

However, Arsenal were able to eventually find a third goal when central midfielder Jorginho saw his powerful long shot fire off the woodwork before bouncing into the net via Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez. The Argentine shot-stopper tried to redeem himself by coming up for a corner deep into stoppage time but this merely allowed the Gunners to net a fourth through Gabriel Martinelli.
Martinelli was heavily criticised by former Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor for celebrating before the ball had gone into the net, something that Arsenal icon Ian Wright admitted he enjoyed. Speaking about the incident on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, Wright said: “I think that’s quite fun! What’s happening is that it’s not very often you know that you are definitely going to score.
“When you are running through and you know you are going to score, you get this unbelievable rush.”
