Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright says it is a must win game for West Ham United against Everton next weekend after their 1-0 defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Hammers dropped into the relegation zone on Saturday after Daniel Podence’s strike early in the second-half helped Wolves climb out of the bottom three. West Ham are now seven games without a win in the Premier League, picking up just one point in that run.
Ahead of them is a six-pointer clash against an Everton side who slipped one place to 19th following a 2-1 defeat at home against bottom side Southampton. With pressure increasing, Moyes called on Irons supporters to give his players the backing during a difficult period.

The Scot insisted to BBC’s Match of the Day that the Hammers have to find a way to dig out results, adding that he is concerned by his side’s disappointing recent form. "We’re not panicking, but we are concerned. I am concerned,” said Moyes.
“I am concerned. The problem is, it has not been a terrible performance, but we have not been able to find a way of getting something from the game, and that has been a regular occurrence for us. You have to try and find a way of digging it out and getting results, and I am sure we will do that.”
After back-to-back top seven finishes, a run to the Europa League semi-finals and spending around £160million on new signings last summer, it is perhaps surprising to see West Ham in the position they are currently in, especially with the top quality players they have in their squad.
Indeed, that was what Match of the Day host Gary Lineker said on the BBC highlights programme on Saturday night, adding that there were a few teams struggling near the bottom of the Premier League, including West Ham and their next opponents Everton.
And Wright, who scored 156 goals in 264 games for Arsenal, as well as nine goals in 23 appearances for the Irons, agreed that there was some concern for West Ham ahead of facing relegation rivals Everton, who he also said he worried for this season.
He said: "Listening to David Moyes, he says they are not panicking yet. But you look at the players they have got, with [Jarrod] Bowen, [Declan] Rice, [Lucas] Paqueta, they have got quality players, but you do worry a little bit and think when is it going to click? It is going to need to click soon for them and they have got a massive game next week against Everton, they have got to win."
