Ian Machado Garry has taken issue with Islam Makhachev’s suggestion that he could fight in July, after UFC president Dana White previously ruled out that possibility.
In late March, White dismissed a claim by Makhachev’s manager Ali Abdelaziz, who said the welterweight champion might next compete in July. White said that was not the case, and that Makhachev was in talks over an August return. That would set his next contest as the main event of UFC 330 on 15 August.
