Ian Evatt admits that Bolton Wanderers are aware of Liverpool youngster Owen Beck and like him as they will see what happens with any potential transfer deal.
The 20-year-old's name emerged yesterday as a potential target for Wanderers ahead of the transfer window closing. The window slams shut at 11pm tomorrow evening.
Wanderers have made four acquisitions so far this summer. Eoin Toal and Jack Iredale have joined on permanent deals from Derry City and Cambridge United.

Two players have also been brought in on loan for the campaign. Defender Conor Bradley has joined from Liverpool, while goalkeeper James Trafford has been signed up again from Manchester City.
Beck has been on loan at Portuguese side Famalicao but is yet to feature for them. He has only been an unused substitute so far and it appears his loan to the Portuguese side could be cut short and a move to Bolton potentially in the offing.
Reports emerged yesterday that Beck was of interest to Wanderers and Bolton boss Evatt was asked about the player following the win over Crewe Alex in the Papa Johns Trophy last night. The left-back is a player Bolton are aware of and like and they will see what happens.
Evatt said: "He’s a player we’re aware of, he’s a player that we like. Obviously we’ve monitored his progress like we have Conor (Bradley).
“Our relationship is very very good and we understand exactly what they’ve got, who they have got and how they’d affect what we do. There’s work to be done with that one but he’s a player that we’re aware of and we’re monitoring and we’ll see what happens.”
Reports this afternoon from the L iverpool Echo suggests a couple of Championship clubs have made offers for the player this afternoon. However, it is understood that a deal for Beck to come on loan for Wanderers is very much a potential reality before the window closes tomorrow evening.
The move is also not seen by Bolton to replace any players in the left hand side of defence, where Evatt has Jack Iredale and Declan John as among his options in that area of the pitch. It is designed to add further competition and a different option in that area of the squad.
Evatt added: "What we’re trying to do is give ourselves competition but different competition and I think if we bought in a left sided player, it would be different to what Declan is and different to what Jack Iredale is.
“Jack Iredale for instance still has that ability to drop into centre back and build progressively from there. It’s not like we’re trying to replace anybody, I think we’re just trying to add different options to the squad.”
