Iain Henderson will look to impress on Friday night after being released by Ireland back to Ulster.
The Ulster skipper has only featured for 23 minutes in this Six Nations to date.
Having missed the opening win against Wales, he came on in the last quarter in the loss to France, and played no part in Sunday's victory over Italy after he tested positive for Covid 19.
It was Ryan Baird who started alongside Tadhg Beirne in the second row against Italy after James Ryan was ruled out with an adductor injury and Henderson's provincial colleague Kieran Treadwell provided bench back-up.
Henderson needs game time and will play for Ulster against Edinburgh on Friday, knowing he needs a big performance to come into the selection picture against England next week after Andy Farrell praised Baird's performance against Italy.
Henderson is one of 11 players released back to the provinces for this weekend's URC fixtures, with 27 players returning to Ireland camp for a two-day session from Thursday.
Included in that will be a hit out against Richie Murphy's under-20s at the Aviva Stadium on Thursday and tickets for the first open session for supporters in two years has already sold out.
Among those included in the camp are Treadwell, who scored Ireland's ninth try against Italy in his first Test appearance since 2017, and his Ulster team-mate Michael Lowry, who scored two tries on his Ireland debut on Sunday.
Also there are Ryan, who is expected to be fit to face England, and Andrew Porter, who rolled his ankle and had to come off against Italy and is having his training load managed by Ireland medics.
Robbie Henshaw, who is continuing through the graduated return to play process this week, will also be a part of the training squad.
