A thug who threatened to kill a woman just hours after being released from prison has been sent back to jail for more than four years. Noel Jennings, 32, was released from prison on licence on March 9 this year, before subjecting a woman to 48 hours of abuse so bad she 'wet herself without realising'.
He had just been released from jail when a woman, who cannot be named, picked him up to take him to his brother's house. But he locked her inside the house and instead began a ruthless two days of abuse, where he sprayed fire at her face and threatened to kill her whole family.
Brian Berlyne, prosecuting at Minshull Street Crown Court, said the abuse started soon after they had arrived at the house. Jennings threatened to cut her face with a wallpaper scraper, kicked her in the back and took a can of lighter fluid and a lighter to spray flames near her face, causing her to jump away.

"She went to bed in fear of him and wanted to leave as soon as possible," Mr Berlyne said.
The court heard that Jennings regularly entered the bedroom and shouted abuse at her, but that she was unable to leave the property. He also threatened her with a knife through the night.
In the morning of March 10, she found the key to the door and was able to leave. After this, Jennings sent her "repeated threatening messages" and at 1.30pm that day she agreed to meet him again.
When they met "she noticed he was drunk", the court heard, and Jennings pushed her head on multiple occasions. She left around 45 minutes later and Jennings again sent her a number of abusive messages.
The following morning (March 12) he sent her messages "calling her a dog and demanding to know where she was and saying she must respond," Mr Berlyne said. Jennings video called her a number of times to check she was not with anyone else and called her "mental" and "ugly".
Mr Berlyne added: "He threatened to burn her house down." She agreed to meet him around 9am and picked Jennings up in her car.
Jennings resumed his abuse, calling her a "slag". "She tried to stop the car and get out but he pulled her back in," Mr Berlyne added.
At one point when she was driving he pulled the hand brake, the court heard, "before screaming at her and striking her with his hand". During this she uncontrollably wet herself due to fear. She tried to call the police at this point but put the phone down before she could talk to them.
Jennings made them go to his grandmother's house where he "pushed her through the door and called her a slag," Mr Berlyne said. He demanded that she take him to her house, but when she refused he told her she was not leaving.
They went into the kitchen of the house and she told Jennings "he needed help", the court heard. At this point he pulled a large kitchen knife out of the drawer and "waved it at her".
"I will cut you up and kill your whole family," he then told her. Jennings then got a smaller knife and held it against her face, threatening to cut her again, the court heard.
As they were leaving the kitchen he punched her again before "dragging her" to the car. But, she "reacted quickly and drove away before he could get in," Mr Berlyne said. The woman drove to a friends house and called the police about Jennings abuse.
Despite this, the court heard that he continued to send abusive messages saying he hoped "she would die". Mr Berlyne said he made 167 attempts to call her in 10 hours between 3pm on March 11 to 1am on March 12.
Jennings also sent abusive messages to the friend, one of which said "wait until I see you you f***ing slut," the court heard. He was arrested by police later that day.
A victim personal statement from the woman, read to the court, said: "I'm frightened and I'm panicking. He scared me so much I weed myself without realising. I felt numb, it didn't feel real.
"I felt like I went through a years worth of abuse in under three days. I'm moving house again as I don't feel safe. It led to a deterioration of my mental health and I had suicidal thoughts."
Mr Berlyne told the court that Jennings had 28 previous convictions. This included a history of domestic abuse.
Sentencing Jennings to 52 months behind bars for common assault, malicious communications, assault occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, and threats to kill with a knife - all of which he pleaded guilty to - judge Dina Landale, said: "Immediately after release from custody you began to offend again.
"You threatened to burn her house down. She wet herself and you're threat to kill is particularly serious. You are a high risk of harm to any person in a domestic relationship with you. There is very little mitigation available in your case."
