I went to New Basford wholesale goods store for the first time and spent less than £10

In the current cost of living crisis that is affecting many people across the UK, bargain shops are needed like never before. We went to a New Basford Wholesale Goods store and here’s what Community Reporter, Keimae Blake, found…

I went to Jambons Wholesale Goods for the first time and was impressed by the rows and rows of bargains. The store, on Unit 3 of the Ryan Business Park, is hidden away but, inside, you’re bound to find something.

The store, which was pretty much empty when I arrived, had a little bit of everything. From tinned goods, to toiletries, alcohol, freezer foods and more, I left happy as I spent less than a tenner.

Walking around the store, I saw many bargains. A large box of 500G Kellogg's Crunchy Nut cereal was £1.99. In Tesco, the same box of cereal is £3.30 without a Clubcard and £2.50 with one.

Next, I came across a box of 10 latte sachets for just £1.00. You can never have too much coffee so that went straight into my basket!

For those wanting to stock up for Christmas, cases of Distant Wine for just £6.99 were well stocked. Jambons however, have alcohol sale times which are Monday-Saturday 9AM-6PM, Saturday 9AM-5PM and Sunday, 10AM-4PM.

Gift sets also perfect for Christmas from brands like Nivea were also available. A Nivea Men Deep Wash Kit was only £6.99.

I found everyday essentials such as Colgate Blue Minty toothpaste for just £1.00. Plus, Fairy Spring Fresh Washing up liquid - the 1190ml bottle was just £2.99.

These items came up to £9.47 from Jambons in New Basford (Nottingham Post)

I also brought Green Giant Sweetcorn for just £1 and Cheese and Onion Flavoured Pringles that came up to £1.49. Checking out and being served by two pleasant women, my total came up to £9.47. For six items, I think that’s fair. With so much more to be found in store, Jambons in New Basford is perfect if you’re wanting to stock up.
