I went on a hunt for nostalgic chocolates in Nottingham and picked up some treasures

We all have those favourite chocolates from our childhood that are just that bit more difficult to find nowadays, or impossible in some circumstances. Budget retailer B&M is often a shop people go to to get their hands on old treasures, as community reporter Keimae Blake reports.

For all chocolate lovers, many will remember the likes of Cadbury’s caramel Snaps, a Cadbury’s Fuse bar or a bar of Kit Kat Senses, but these, unfortunately, are no longer sold in stores. It’s always a pain when your favourite chocolate is no longer stocked up on shelves, isn’t it?

But the good news is B&M are selling some old favourites. Some of the chocolates found in B&M, I had never heard of but they tasted delicious.

It has been reported that one old Cadbury’s favourite is making a comeback. Cadbury’s Astros.

The Cadbury’s Astros are boxes of biscuit bites covered in smooth milk chocolate. This chocolate is making a comeback after its heyday in the 90s.

Walking through the B&M in Lady Bay Retail Park, as soon as I walked in, I was drawn to the Caramac. The caramel-based chocolate distributed by Nestle isn’t usually my go to, I usually go for a white chocolate Kinder Bueno or a biscuit and raisin Yorkie Bar.

For anyone that’s been searching for Caramac, there was a lot neatly stacked on the shelf in B&M and a 3 pack for £1, to me, is a bargain. My next find was Turkish Delight, which isn’t my kind of chocolate (I don’t like the texture) but nostalgic nonetheless.

After giving a list of some nostalgic chocolates to a friendly employee in B&M, many on the list weren’t sold in stores. However, I did get led to a box of Cadbury’s favourites.

Inside it, there were chocolates that I had never heard of before such as Moro but I do vaguely remember Cadbury's white chocolate Dream bar.

To me, the Dream bar is better than Milky Bar hands down! The box of Cadbury’s favourites for £3.99 is definitely worth it.

It's filled with some favourites that are in store too such as Flake, Picnic and Crunchie.
