Vick Hope has admitted to struggling for years with body image issues.
The radio presenter, 33, said she spent years being “cruel” to herself trying to fit into the “mould” of what’s usually presented as the perfect celebrity figure.
“One thing I have become in recent years is very body confident, because I used to not be,” said the BBC Radio 1 star.
“I struggled a lot with my image – basically being very cruel to myself and my body to try and fit a mould,” she recalled looking back to her time as a young student at Cambridge university.
“And it’s being through lots of therapy, lots of growth, learning to love my body.”
Hope said she’s now turned such a corner that she sleeps in the nude and "would happily be naked if I could all the time”.
She added: “When I started to love the way I looked was when I stopped caring as much about how I looked – when I realised how important my friends are, my friendships, my relationships.”
These days, instead of obsessing over her body image, Hope is happily focused on her media career and relationship with her fiancé, DJ Calvin Harris.
It was recently reported that the pair will wed in an intimate ceremony in front of a handful of friends and family this year.
The Scottish music star proposed to Hope last May, just five months into their relationship.
Speaking of the upcoming nuptials, a source claimed to The Sun: “Calvin and Vick have kept their relationship out of the public eye for the most part, so aren’t having a massive wedding to parade their love in front of the world.
“Instead, they want it to be a much more intimate and simple day.”
Harris is said to have proposed to the former Strictly star with a million pound diamond ring under a tree at his 138 acre Ibiza farm, Terra Masia.
