Jonathan Oakeley was racing towards the finish line at the Reading Half Marathon when he began feeling a little off. It was March 2019 and Jonathan, an insights manager for PepsiCo, was a fit and healthy 35-year-old with no underlying health conditions. But at that moment, he knew he was in trouble.
“As I rounded the corner, over the top of this hill, I was like, something’s not feeling so great", he recalled. He began feeling intensely dizzy.
