Naming your child is undoubtedly a difficult decision. While several parents may opt for unique monikers for their little ones, some may choose to settle on old modern classics.
However, this favourable trend can sometimes take the backfoot when your name of choice sits too high on the popularity scale. Taking to popular forum Mumsnet, a mum voiced her concerns that she's feeling 'less confident' in choosing her baby girl Alice.
Captioning the post, the woman wrote: "Change or keep the name Alice." She explained: "Hi, hoping someone can help me, I want your honest opinions on girl's name Alice?"
The woman went on: "I always loved it never knew anyone called Alice and now we have named her, I seem to see the name everywhere I've zoomed up on all Alice-related topics, including Alice and wonderland, who the is Alice.
"Now I'm feeling less confident in my choice and considering changing it.
Seeking advice, she questioned: "Do you think someone called Alice will be picked on because of her name? I know it's silly but is anyone called Alice who could give me some insights?"
"Thanks in advance," the woman added.
Since posting, the Mumsnet user's post has raked in over 90 comments to date.
Taking to the comment section, people assured the woman that Alice is a 'lovely name' and she shouldn't go back on her decision.
One person wrote: "I really like Alice and actually only know one in real life."
Meanwhile, a second wrote: "My daughter is Alice and has never been picked on for her name."
"I think Alice is a lovely name!" A third added.
A fourth person assured: "The 'who the ... is Alice' song is very old now and I'm not sure that any children of your child's age would even be aware of it."
